Airedale's boasting about its pile of accreditations, but does it actually mean better kit for the customer?
In the cut-throat world of HVAC, waving about industry standards is all the rage. Airedale's joined the party, plastering its website with badges like Avetta, CHAS, and Constructionline – all supposedly proving they're not cowboys.
They're also flexing their ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates, for quality and environmental management respectively. Because apparently, filling in forms makes you green.
Badge Engineering
Then there's the Refcom certification, supposedly showing they're not gassing the planet with rogue refrigerants, in compliance with F-Gas regulations. Good for them, I suppose.
Airedale also bangs on about Continuous Professional Development (CPD) with its CIBSE-approved status and hobnobbing with industry bodies like BESA, FETA, and HEVAC. Must be all those boozy conferences.
The CE mark gets a look-in, naturally, showing they haven't blown up half of Europe, and even a nod to SASO for those keen on flogging their kit to Saudi Arabia.
Paperwork Mountain
They are also showing off their Waste Licence, Employers Liability Insurance, Contractors All Risks Insurance and Public/Products Liability Insurance.
Airedale's keen to show they've ticked all the boxes with Safecontractors and Reset, just in case you thought they were cutting corners.
So What?
Let’s be honest – all this accreditation guff is just window dressing. A piece of paper doesn't guarantee the bloke on the tools knows which end of a spanner to use.
