Cable And Wholesale Supplies (CWS) of Birmingham has been crowned Beijer Ref UK and Ireland’s Supplier of the Year for 2025, an event celebrated at the annual suppliers’ dinner in York.
CWS specialises in LED lighting, electrical cable, data cable, and industrial control gear, plus the usual domestic and commercial electrical bits and bobs.
What exactly did CWS do to snag this coveted award? One can only speculate.

Beijer Ref is a big noise in the wholesale distribution of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump equipment. A lucrative contract with them is a boon for any supplier.
Presumably, reliability and keen pricing – always a sticking point – played a significant role. CWS's wide product range, detailed here, might also have swung the deal, simplifying Beijer Ref’s procurement.
Will this award translate into savings for HVAC contractors wrestling with dodgy kit on-site? Don’t hold your breath.
