AREA Launches 4th Women in Cooling Competition
AREA, in partnership with World Refrigeration Day, has launched its fourth European Rising Stars Video Competition. The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration European Association (AREA), in collaboration with World Refrigeration Day, has announced the fourth edition of the European Rising Stars Video Competition, highlighting excellence and innovation among young professionals and women in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sector.
This year’s competition invites participants to showcase best practices in two categories:
- RACHP Youth Best Practice: Open to individuals under 25, focusing on hands-on skills.
- RACHP Women in Cooling: Open to women of any age, celebrating design and application excellence.
Participants should create a video (a maximum of 10 minutes long) explaining and demonstrating their chosen activity. Submissions can be made via the AREA RACHP Facebook page or by email to [email protected]. All European languages are welcome.
Winners in each category will receive the following prizes:
- 1st Place: €1,000 cheque from World Refrigeration Day, a commemorative trophy, and travel/accommodation to attend the AREA General Assembly in Madrid on 22nd May 2026 (sponsored by AREA members ATF, CNI, and AEFYT).
- 2nd and 3rd Place: Commemorative trophies.
Video submissions will be accepted from November 2025 until midnight on Sunday, 26th April 2026, with the winner announcement in May 2026. The awards ceremony will be held on 22nd May 2026, in Madrid.
