AWA Introduces Smart Valve for Compressor Oil Regulation
Armaturenwerk Altenburg (AWA) has introduced its Oil Level Control (OLC) system, designed to maintain optimal oil levels in refrigeration compressors, especially within compound systems. More information is available in the original source article.
The AWA OLC employs an electronic float sensor for precise level measurement, accommodating systems up to 120 bar and a variety of refrigerants and oils. Features include a sight glass, LED display, and a modular adapter system for compressor connection.
The system's autonomous electronics incorporate 'Power ON Logic' (with a delay time of less than ten seconds) to prevent dry running during compressor startup and an 'Emergency Injection' function for rapid oil replenishment when sudden oil demand increases occur. The AWA OLC regulates oil quantity to a level of 40 to 60 per cent, triggering an alarm counter (activated after 80 seconds) if the oil level drops below critical thresholds despite active filling.
The installation dimensions, reduced by up to 25 per cent, enable plant constructors to design more compact composite plants.
