BITZER Highlights Career Opportunities for World Refrigeration Day
BITZER is using World Refrigeration Day to highlight the range of career paths the sector offers. To mark World Refrigeration Day 2021, BITZER is raising awareness of the many opportunities in the field.
BITZER supports World Refrigeration Day, which falls annually on 26 June. The date marks the birthday of William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin, the physicist who invented the thermodynamic temperature scale. Since 2019, the industry has used this day to highlight its importance.
Refrigeration and air conditioning are essential to maintain optimal conditions in diverse sectors, including food production, pharmaceuticals, and logistics involving heat-sensitive products. Complex machines must be developed, manufactured, built, and maintained to provide cooling.
The significance of environmentally friendly air conditioning is growing within the industry and in the context of climate change. Refrigeration is a growing market that continually invests in developing new, more environmentally friendly systems. Heat pumps, an alternative for cooling and heating without fossil fuels, are also part of the industry's portfolio, offering a solution for sustainable energy generation. This year’s World Refrigeration Day celebrates those in the refrigeration and air conditioning businesses under the theme ‘Cooling Champions: Cool Careers for a Better World’. bitzer.de/gb/en/press/www.worldrefrigerationday.org.)">World Refrigeration Day.
