BITZER Succession: Schaufler-Münch Shares Transfer to Foundation
The passing of Christiane Schaufler-Münch, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of BITZER SE, sees her shares transferred to THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, ensuring the company's continued independence.
Christiane Schaufler-Münch’s shares will transfer to THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, solidifying its influence. This arrangement, coupled with the appointment of Christian Wehrle as CEO of BITZER SE until the end of 2028, aims to guarantee BITZER’s autonomy, a strategy previously outlined. Dr. Martin Brudermüller will take over as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, having already assumed the role of Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of BITZER SE in August 2024.
The foundation supports scientific work in refrigeration and air conditioning, linking entrepreneurship with research and art, and also makes the Schauflers' art collection accessible to the public at SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen.
BITZER Group CEO Christian Wehrle noted that Mrs. Schaufler-Münch shaped the company's culture and expressed gratitude for her contributions to BITZER and society.
