Distech Controls Bolsters Sales Leadership with New Appointments
Distech Controls has strengthened its sales leadership team with the appointment of three new Vice Presidents. Distech Controls, part of Acuity Brands’ Intelligent Spaces Group, has announced the appointment of George West as Vice President Global Market Expansion, Danny Lee as Vice President Sales for the APAC region, and Darryl Gregory as Vice President Sales for EMEA. These additions to the sales leadership team complement Kelly Boyd, Vice President Sales for the Americas, completing the leadership for key regional markets.
According to Scott Hamilton, Senior Vice President Sales, the addition of George, Danny and Darryl to the sales leadership team “marks an exciting chapter in the journey of Distech Controls and the Acuity Brands' Intelligent Spaces business segment to lead the controls and connected buildings industry. Their collective experience will be instrumental to enhancing our operational high standards, accelerating innovation, and delivering value to our customers. These appointments, closely following the hiring of John Sublett as Vice President of R&D at Distech Controls, further our mission to make spaces smarter, safer, and greener through our strategy of connecting the edge to the cloud.”
George West brings over 30 years’ experience in the building automation industry, having previously held roles at Johnson Controls, Siemens Building Technologies, and Albireo Energy. Danny Lee has worked for Schneider Electric and ABB, bringing knowledge of the APAC region. Darryl Gregory was formerly responsible for UK/Ireland and Northern Europe Sales for BAS for Honeywell-Trend.
