Star Refrigeration Focuses on Manchester Branch's North West Operations
Star Refrigeration is highlighting its Manchester branch, a key hub providing industrial cooling services to the North West region. Established in 1973, the Manchester branch of Star Refrigeration supports over 25 sites across sectors including food processing, TCS&D, petrochemicals, and commercial comfort cooling. The branch employs 10 field engineers and two apprentices, overseen by a maintenance manager, service manager, and two supervisors; many have been with the company for over 20 years.
Located in Brookside Business Park, the Manchester office, in conjunction with the Leeds branch, supports key account customers with a combined team of 22 engineers. Services include new installations, plant upgrades, refrigeration maintenance, and service works – including condition-based monitoring such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging. They also offer health and safety advice, legislative compliance, energy monitoring and advice, live plant monitoring, capital planning & asset management, rapid call-out service, digital documentation management, and chiller contingency planning.
A core focus is customer training to bolster in-house engineering capabilities, complemented by 24/7 rapid support aiming for a two-hour on-site response time. This regional focus reflects Star Refrigeration’s wider network of nine branches across the UK, aimed at delivering services at the right locations and at the right time. The branches act almost as independent entities - employing over 200 people - and are fully supported by the wider business.
The Manchester branch demonstrates Star Refrigeration's commitment to regional support, a strategy dependent on consistent performance.
