Star Refrigeration's London Branch Bolsters Engineering Team
Star Refrigeration’s London branch is expanding its in-house engineering services and customer base. Established in 1984, the London branch of Star Refrigeration is growing due to new maintenance contracts and an expanding client portfolio.
Covering South East England, up through Lincolnshire to the north coast of Norfolk, the branch supports nearly 50 customer sites. These include operators in TCS&D (transport, commercial, storage, and distribution), major retailers, and logistics companies. The team also provides plant maintenance support for data centres, commercial buildings, and businesses with IT and comfort cooling systems.
The branch employs nine field engineers, a fast-track engineer, two apprentices, management, and administrative staff. The services offered include new installations, plant upgrades and refurbishment, service works, and refrigeration maintenance, including condition-based monitoring. In addition, the branch offers vibration monitoring, ammonia analysis, thermal imaging, laser alignment, temperature compliance checks, live plant monitoring, capital planning & asset management, chiller contingency planning, spares, and digital documentation management. They also offer health and safety, legislative compliance, and energy monitoring advice, endeavouring to respond to all on-site problems within 2 hours of notification.
The team excels at client retention, with several key accounts with the branch held for in excess of 15 years.
The London branch is responsible for just under 50 customer sites, many for clients with multi-site operations.
